I don’t even know where to begin with Angie, she is just the cutest little bubble of excitement I’ve ever met (or not met, in this case). Contacting us from sunny Queensland, all our correspondence was via phone or email with excessive emoticons and exclamation points!! Angie was one happy bride and she made the whole design process an absolute breeze.
Everything about her wedding was so personal and unique, making every detail extra special. Angie clearly wears her heart on her sleeve and I think this showed through every element of her gorgeous wedding.
We began with Save the Date cards way back when she first got engaged. The brief for these was to be simple, modern and fun. We decided on a thumb print idea and kept all the other details to a minimum, printed on natural kraft brown card.
When it came time to do the invitations themselves, Angie loved the idea of a tiered invitation, so we split the details across a few pages. We tied in the kraft paper from the save the dates to keep everything consistent. Using a really nice blend of script and typewriter fonts, we came up with a beautiful modern design. We added a little tag and tied them up with string (a few of my favourite things).
We also carried the same theme into the wedding day stationery with little kraft brown name tags, which were tied up with sprigs of rosemary.
Now that it’s all over, I’m a little sad I won’t get to see Angie’s happy emails in my inbox any more! But we had one last job to finish, before we wrapped things up. Angie wanted some fun thank-you cards that tied back to the save the dates. She came up with the wording and just told me it had to be bold and fun because she had so much gratitude she needed to get out. I’m sure these cards are going to be full of loving heart-felt messages for all the guests.
Here’s what Angie had to say…
When you plan your wedding, you wear your heart on your sleeve. Your deepest feelings, dreams you had as a little girl, everything you love, all on display for the most important people in your life. Every decision is a big one, as you only do it once.
We like things simple and fun, we based our wedding choices around a rustic theme, with neutral colours, and a dash of peaches and cream. I had been stalking Pinterest for so long, and had so many things that I loved! My friend Nicole put me onto Papette’s Facebook page and I was sold pretty quickly!
I love that somehow, my vague rambling ideas were turned into reality! SJ completely understood the feel we were going for, and came up with ideas that really worked for us. When we started planning, our main ambition was to have a wedding that was full of love, and “just us”. We really feel like the classic, romantic feel of the invites captured that, and the place tags with the rosemary were perfection!!
